Our office phone line is available to receive your appointments 24 hours a day. Please be prepared to leave a concise voice mail which includes your name, primary phone number, nature of call, and your availability. You will receive a return call as promptly as possible, remembering that sick pets take priority over routine questions, vaccinations, and medication refills. Injured and sick pets may sometimes consume our phone time, so please be patient! If you feel you have an emergency with your pet and you do not hear right back from us, call your closest animal hospital or emergency room for advice.

Emergency & Urgent Care

We have a veterinarian on call 7 days a week who is trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Emergencies can be things such as snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call immediately. If it is after hours, call us but also call the Emergency Pet Center at 210-404-2873 in case we are unavailable to get to the phone.

We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening. If you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment, our veterinarians will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. It all depends on our schedule for that particular day. Many times we are in your vicinity when you call and will gladly get your pet examined that day.
